Communities
in Schools of Pitt County, along with the Town of Winterville and East
Carolina University Project Heart and Recovery Wellness Corp, will host
M.A.D.E. (Making a Difference in Education), and after school and
summer program for youth in grade K-8. The program will offer students
a well rounded curriculum that addresses academics, health and
wellness, arts, social development, as well as civic education and
community service. Each student will have access to a homework hotline,
tutors from ECU, PCC and area high schools, and the various programs
offered by Community Schools of Pitt County like Girl Power, BOSS, Men
of Distinction, etc.
Winterville
residents will receive a special rate of $25 per week for after-school
only. Registration is now open and a non-refundable registration fee of
$25 is need to hold your space. Pick-up will be available from
Creekside, Ridgewood, WH Robinson, Wintergreen, and AG Cox.
