Volunteer Note to applicants: All applicants will be background screened and cleared before volunteering with the agency. Please allow time for this process when turning in your application. When completing the volunteer application, please circle the program in which you are interested in volunteering. Please visit the programs tab on for more information about each program. Tutoring Individuals volunteer once a week for an hour to work with a student identified in their area of need. Volunteer tutors meet at the student’s school during one of the student’s elective classes. Volunteer tutors work to assist that student in that subject area until the student has improved or mastered that area. Individuals interested in volunteering as a tutor can fill out an application listed below and call to set up an interview Download Application Leaders for Lunch If time is never on your side, this may be the opportunity for the fast paced professional. Adult professions volunteer once a week to meet during a students lunch period for about 20 minutes. Volunteers agree to meet with the student from the time they are matched until the end of the school year. Individuals interested in volunteering for this, can fill out an application listed below and call to set up an interview. Download Application Power of One Mentoring Programs Individuals working during regular business hours will appreciate this opportunity. Volunteer mentors agree to spend 2 hours a week for at least a year hanging out with a youth in the program. Volunteer mentors interact with the youth in the community doing activities and hobbies that they both enjoy. Download Application Other opportunities: We are always in need of volunteers to assist in the office, fundraising, presentations, marketing, and with group activities. These opportunities are for individuals that would like to utilize their skills to benefit our programs and agency. Some opportunities could be done by a group or an association for service hours.
